Interesting spot to visit. Many of the venues are related to the sea and maritime industries. One will also see an extensive portrayal of the sailing fleets, made up of all shapes and sizes. When we visited the historic downtown area was small in size and this allowed us to have lunch and visit many of the shops on the main street. The closeness to the ocean & the many types of sailing vessels gives one the reason to visit even if it is not for a long time.

The Story behind the picture
Spent most of our time in the harbor area. Interesting spot to visit as there are many restaurants, museums, and sites that portray what one expects. The number of sailing craft is quite impressive.
Downtown Annapolis gives one a perspective of our past history with its many links to Ocean and shipping traffic. The area is not extensive, but many of the homes are still in use and one gets the feeling that this is a real boating and fishing community. A very pleasant location to walk about and visit many of the shops and restaurants in the area.

Be prepared to take your time, visit some of the unique shops and have lunch or dinner at one of the fine restaurants. The main thing is however, just to walk around the area, see some of the old buildings, or gaze at the waterfront with its` many sailboats.
